Black and white is popular among most photographers because it can feel freeing, you’re no longer stuck thinking about the color but instead focusing on the tone and light. As much as the world looks good in color it can cause distractions and they can disappear when it is converted into black and white. Color itself can take away the contrast, lighting, texture, form, and shape. Black and white can intensify the features you don’t usually see in colored pictures. Usually when you remove the color, your remove what the viewer is used to seeing now you have to capture their attention without the help of color. Fill flash is used when the subject is underexposed due to deficit of sunlight it used to correctly expose the subject. You should focus on keeping it natural because you don’t want your subject looking unrealistic. If you are shooting outdoor you shouldn’t rival the sun and instead try to complement the sunlight by adjusting the intensity of the fill flash. You should just adjust the intensity and dial down the flash power.
